スリップアングル

Slip Angle

トーインなどでスリップアングルが発生すると抵抗が増加することは知られている。
定量的にどれだけ転がり抵抗が変化するのかを台上試験で調べた。

We know slip angle can increase the rolling resistance.

台上試験結果　The Result of Bench Test

スリップアングルによって抵抗が増加している。この増加は無視できない。
なお、スリップアングルの0.44degは操舵輪のトーイン約7mmである。
これよりサスペンション周辺の剛性確保の重要性がわかる。
この試験は25km/h、エコランタイヤ、ＦＣオリジナルワイドリム、軸荷重約39kgf、ローラー表面スリックの条件で行った。

The rolling resistance coefficient increases by small slip angle.
We can understand that sufficient stiffness of steering system or suspension is important.
