タイヤの摩耗の影響

The Defacement of Tire

タイヤが摩耗すると転がり抵抗はどの様に変化するのかを調べた。
摩耗している方が転がり抵抗が低いというのは自転車競技をしている人には知られているらしい。
はたしてマイレッジに使うようなタイヤでも同様なのだろうか。
We inspected the changing of rolling resistance between new and defaced tires

台上試験結果　The Result of Bench Test

タイヤは摩耗している方が転がり抵抗が少ない
The rolling resistance of defaced tire is smaller.

この時のタイヤは競技用自転車のタイヤである。
摩耗品とはベルトサンダーでギリギリまでコンパウンドを削ったもので、
鈴鹿の１コーナーを考えると耐久性に不安がある。
このような結果になった理由は
(1)コンパウンドの体積の差と
(2)接地面形状の違いが考えられる。

In this test we used the bicycle race tire.
The defaced tire is made by belt grinder.
And this tire may burst on the first curve in SUZUKA circuit.
This result may be caused by
(1)the volume of rubber is small.
(2)the shape in contacting to ground is wide.
